A fully formulated Neopentyl Glycol Isophthalic acid gelcoat which carries Lloyds approval for marine applications, has weathering properties and a UV inhibitor incorporated, to minimise the degrading effect of sunlight.

UV stabilised pigments will make sure your pool will stay the colour you ordered for a very long time. An isophthalic, unsaturated Polyester Resin which is approved by the SABS 713-1974 grade R and Lloyds register of shipping specifications. This Resin has been designed for use in the manufacturing of pipes, storage tanks, road tankers and similar applications where good chemical resistance is required to operate under acid and alkaline conditions.

The glass reinforcement is built up according to the spec for the production of chemical storage-tanks with a surface tissue and a chopped strand mat 300Gr/m2 laminated behind the gelcoat layer for a maximum chemical resistance and to prevent osmoses. Further chopped strand mat 450Gr/m2 and woven rovin are used for the reinforcement of the laminate. All these materials are produced in accordance with the requirements of the South African Bureau of Standards specification, SABS 419-1972, and are locally produced. SA Pools have a smooth high gloss finish so algae has no chance to set on the pool surface.
